Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Egbert Laege serves as the Chief Executive Officer of CLTX since May 2016 and CEO of the Gas Exchange Powernext since January 2015. He is also Executive Director Gas Markets of European Energy Exchange (EEX) Group and Supervisory Board member of the power exchange EPEX SPOT. He has been serving as a Board Member of European Federation of Energy Traders (EFET) from 2001 to 2016 and EUROPEX since January 2016.
Dr. Laege obtained his PhD from the University of Stuttgart in 2001. He spent 13 years at the European energy utility E.ON in commodity trading, holding several managerial positions before being appointed as Member of Board of E.ON Global Commodities and E.ON Ruhrgas.
Zhi Rui Ang (Ray)
Chief Operating Officer
A founding member of CLTX, Ray currently serves as Chief Operating Officer overseeing market operations, finance, technology and compliance functions based in Singapore. Under this role, Ray is responsible for managing the CLTX unique customer service model.
Ray has held previous positions at Freight Investor Services (FIS) London and at Barclays Capital based in Singapore.
Ray comes from Cass Business School and holds an MSc in Mathematical Trading and Finance and has obtained a BAcc Honours degree in Accountancy.
Sales Director – CLTX
Head of Sales – Global Commodities – EEX Group
Adelfio comes to CLTX with a wealth of shipping and commodities experience. Prior to joining the company in 2018 he held a number of senior positions at Imarex, Clarksons and most recently Nasdaq where he was Head of Sales in South East Asia for Freight, Iron Ore, Fuel Oil and NFX products. Based in Singapore with teams in Europe and Asia, Adelfio oversees global sales for all Freight related products and is committed to positioning CLTX and EEX Group as the Exchange of choice in the global commodities space.
Lim Poh Leong
Head of Compliance
Lim Poh Leong, head of compliance comes with a vast amount of experience working within various futures and derivatives broking houses all licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Poh Leong is a specialist in the Securities and Futures Act (SFA), it’s relevant subsidiary legislations and guidelines. He has spent most of his financial career within the compliance sector.
Lim Poh Leong, holds a BSc from the University of London majoring in Banking and Finance and is based in Singapore.
