Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Egbert Laege serves as the Chief Executive Officer of CLTX since May 2016 and Powernext’s CEO since January 2015. He is also Executive Director Gas Markets of European Energy Exchange (EEX) Group and Supervisory Board member of the power exchange EPEX SPOT. He has been serving as a Board Member of EFET since 2001 and EUROPEX since January 2016.
Dr. Laege obtained his PhD from the University of Stuttgart in 2001. He spent 13 years at E.ON, holding several upper managerial positions before being appointed as Director of Prompt & Dispatch Trading.

David Briggs acts as the Chief Technology Officer at CLTX since its inception in 2010.
Zhi Rui Ang (Ray)
Chief Operating Officer
A founding member of CLTX, Ray currently serves as Chief Operating Officer overseeing market operations, finance, technology and compliance functions based in Singapore. Under this role, Ray is responsible for managing the CLTX unique customer service model.
Ray has held previous positions at Freight Investor Services (FIS) London and at Barclays Capital based in Singapore.
Ray comes from Cass Business School and holds an MSc in Mathematical Trading and Finance and has obtained a BAcc Honours degree in Accountancy.

Head of Sales Global Commodities – EEX Group
Thomas started his career with Deutsche Bank in Germany in Private Wealth Management in 1994 before moving to Investment Banking in 1999. In 2000, he joined Enron Europe first in Enron’s physical gas business and later on trading European power markets. Between 2002 and 2006, Thomas worked in similar trading and sales roles for Aquila, BHP Billiton and BNP Paribas before joining Constellation Global Commodities as Head of Origination for Continental Europe. In 2009, Thomas relocated to Sydney, Australia, taking on the role of Global Head of Business Development for d-cyphaTrade (now ASX Energy). In September 2013, Thomas joined the European Energy Exchange AG as Head of Sales – Clearing & ISV, Coal & Freight to run their London office and relocated in 2017 to Singapore to run Global Commodities Sales from Singapore.
Lim Poh Leong
Head of Compliance
Lim Poh Leong, head of compliance comes with a vast amount of experience working within various futures and derivatives broking houses all licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Poh Leong is a specialist in the Securities and Futures Act (SFA), it’s relevant subsidiary legislations and guidelines. He has spent most of his financial career within the compliance sector.
Lim Poh Leong, holds a BSc from the University of London majoring in Banking and Finance and is based in Singapore.
